Peer Instructor - Focus in Embedded Systems. For two lovely years, I served as a peer instructor at the IDC electrical engineering makerspace at Georgia Tech.

I received training on an assortment of systems, including 3D printers, lasercutters, general woodworking and metalworking equipment, as well as electrtrical equipment. Some assorted projects are included here.

my work

For a project in the Origami Engineering course, we created an origami crane that could lift over 100 times its own weight. Origami patterns were lasercut to ensure consistency, and the test apparatus was constructed with a simple circuit and controller.

This plot quantitatively compares the performance of different origami patterns under varied loads.

The final poster of the origami crane project is included here.

I personally cut my own coasters using familiar circular logos.

For a hackathon, a teammate and I created a remote controlled lighter-than-air vehicle prototype. The vehicle, entirely lasercut included a custom PCB and was constolled using a simple RC system, was suspended by helium balloons and was propelled actively by small fans and passively using a deployable sail.
